Joey sits in the Venture Studio, building and launching new healthcare companies. Joey loves problem solving and is eager to find solutions to our most pressing healthcare issues, particularly as they relate to cost, complexity, and inequity.
Before joining Oxeon, Joey worked as Chief of Staff at K Health, a digital health company that provides urgent and primary care services and that utilizes data-driven insights to expand access to high-quality medicine. Joey especially enjoyed the cross-functional nature of his role, having the opportunity to work across business development, FP&A, analytics, growth marketing, and various operational efforts across the organization. His career began in management consulting at Bain & Company, where he worked in the private equity group to evaluate healthcare assets and also supported non-healthcare companies with growth strategy and operational improvement. Joey also did a brief stint as Special Assistant to the President at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, a Brooklyn-based non-profit focused on disrupting the racial wealth gap, via a sponsored externship away from Bain.
Joey graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Cognitive Neuroscience and minored in History and Health Care Management. At Penn, Joey played trumpet for several musical groups and won two (intramural) basketball championships. A New York City native, Joey has stayed close to home and currently lives in Brooklyn. Outside of the office, you can find Joey refreshing The Ringer, watching his New York Knicks, riding a bike or enjoying a concert.
