EMILY ARFMAN

Senior Director, Oxeon Ventures

Emily is a Senior Director in the Oxeon venture studio, where she builds new healthcare companies. She is passionate about finding creative ways to improve access to high quality, affordable healthcare for those who have been deprioritized by our healthcare system.

While at Oxeon, Emily has launched two de novo companies. Most recently, she co-founded and launched Empassion, an MSO supporting advanced illness providers in delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and value-based end of life care. Previously, Emily led clinical and operational design for the launch of Eleanor Health, a value-based substance use disorder and behavioral health company. Emily has additionally led sectoral research into various sectors including specialty care, health plans, women's health, and more.

Emily has worked across venture capital, early stage startups, and consulting. Her entrepreneurial experience started through her work on the concept behind Cohere Health, where she partnered with a large health plan to solve for the high administrative burden plaguing providers and plans. Emily has also worked within the women's health field, advising companies across the space as they develop solutions that are purpose-built for women. Her career began in management consulting at Deloitte, where she worked with providers and health plans to develop innovation and growth strategies.

Emily earned a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School with a focus in healthcare management, and a Bachelor in Science in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.

Emily grew up on Long Island, New York and currently resides in Brooklyn, which as it turns out, is still on Long Island. Outside of the office, she can be found baking focaccia, searching for a hazy IPA, or perusing pet adoption websites in hopes of finally becoming an overbearing dog mom.
